Sony Xperia SP Help :(

Anonymous
Not applicable

I picked up my Sony Xperia SP today from Carphone Warehouse.

I put my sim in (the sim that was provided with the phone) followed the set up guide and everything seemed fine.

However, I tried connecting to the 02-UK network so I could start to text and phone but it says "network not available" I have tried 2G 3G and 4G to make sure but nothing is allowing me to connect to the network.

Help Please!

Choose the 4G preferred auto setting. That way the phone will always connect to the fastest data available.

Check your postcode for any mast issues http://status.o2.co.uk/
Try rebooting the phone to see if you can pick up the network.

Your sim should connect when the work is completed.

I cannot get a data connection on my new xperia sp. I have sent active to 2020 & have changed the apn settings to those provided by o2 via email all to no avail. The phone when rebooted comes with the message mobile data is disabled despite mobile data being switched on in the notification bar. I have reset to factory defaults & tried again but no joy. Think I must have a dud phone. My husband's blackberry gets a data signal so poor signal can be ruled out.

Hi and welcome, yes, I would agree from what you have said, unless you haven't activated the O2 apn in network settings?

Edit, just a second thought. Have you called 202 to check if you have data enabled on your account? It should be on by default but there is always the off chance,.....?
