I have set up my o2 email address on my new phone and no problem receiving emails but I cannot send one from the phone. Any ideas?
I've just spent the best part of an hour with o2 gurus on something else and before I lose the will to live thought I would try a different tack with this query.
Thanks
John

I've been told several times that o2 webmail closed a year or 2 ago but have never received anything officially. The addresses that my wife and I use we go years ago when first using o2. Even when o2 sold all the broadband stuff to Sky we were not told of any change to email. I will look into this but at the moment email is working ok and I still have the set up problem on the phone

Unless it's just a setting issue.
smtp.o2.co.uk (o not 0)
Port 25
No security or SSL needs setting.
But please do check other email providers for your own peace of mind and just set up a divert until the time comes that it goes completely.

Don't worry about pasting the settings - You can just write them down then copy them here....
