Solved: Samsung S8+ Text Message Overide

Hi,

I have just bought a Samsung S8+ after many years with an iPhone.

I have a quick question about text messages over rides.

I have a motion device on my vehicle which if activated sends me a text message.

I would like to be able to have my phone on silent (for example at work or in bed) but the phone will still play the message tone if a message arrives from this particular number.

Is it possible to do??

You would need to use the do not disturb mode and add the number you want to come through to the allowed list.

Not on a stand alone basis as far as I know.

Would DND mode also silence the alarm or will that overide too?
