I have been unable to use non-UK SIM cards with my phone since at least one month ago.
* I unlocked the phone, asking O2 for the code, in 2011.
* I know for sure one Spanish SIM card worked from December 2011 to December 2012
* Non-O2 UK SIM cards are still working
* Recently I tested
- Two Spanish SIM cards (incluiding the one I had been using before): don't work (locked)
- One Estonian SIM card: doesn't work (locked)
I am the only one? I suspect this lock was added with the latest Android update, but in the chat they say they don't know anything about a country (MCC) specific lock.

Hi,
Software Updates do not affect the Unlock to all networks unlocking.

I would agree. But do you have any other theory about the cause for 3 non-UK SIM cards to have stopped working on my phone at the same time, all while every UK SIM card I have tried is working fine?
I would still like to know if any other O2 Samsung Galaxy S2 user has tried to use a non-UK SIM card, and what were their results.
