This seems to be quite a big issue. Mine is still not resoved, having been back to Samsung once (could not find anything wrong) it is going back again tomorrow. It has also been to a walk in engineers (I use the term loosely) who diagnosed water damage. Yeah right. That could be the only explanation as to why the terminals were supposidly so corroded so I was told. I took the phone back of him and reversed out the the building. Interesting that the repair center did not pick it up 1 month before.
I originally had the 'Charging Stopped Overvoltage Error'. Which was cured by the service return. But now has the problem in that after it has been used the Battery indicator flashes like it is on charge (but no charging lightning) and quickly switches itself off. I have to then charge it, it displays the battery charge icon with a yellow warning triange with an exclamation mark in the middle. After about 5 minutes it will turn on and claim the battery has anything from 40-60% charge.
I am concerned by the advice seen on here and other forums suggesting it needs cleaning. Well pocket fluff does not conduct electricity and if the terminals are corroded and shorting out then that is a design flaw.
