Poor Coverage

Evening All

Has anyone else noticed recently that coverage has got worse? Im in Bradford and since the introduction of 4G Ive found it almost impossible to get a signal both at home or at work.

Ive been with o2 for over 10 years so this is deffinatley a recent development.

Ive complained to o2 who currently have engineers insisting that theres no problems. I have a Galaxy S4 but do not use 4G, ive tried to change the network mode on the phone to work only on 2g and 3g but still nothing works.

My signal at work has gone from having perfect 3G coverage to having a weak 2G signal meaning that I cant even use my phone to get online.

Its becoming a complete joke now as whats the point in having a phone if messages etc dont come through for hours or days at a time.

This problem seems to be the same with everyone in my house and we all have different types and brands of phones.

So I gues the question here is does anyone have any ideas what could have caused this? Or is anyone experiencing similar problems over the last 3 months?

Hi,

Get each individual who is on o2 and experiencing this issue to contact them to challenge the mast status.

Clean your sim or perhaps have it replaced at an O2 store.

The mast status does read issues.

Good shout! Ive not checked the mast status for a couple of days lol

We have all made complaints then they tried to say to each of us that "not other complaints have been made" they changed that when we told them of all our individual complaints

They dont even know whats going on, I get calls from various people in various departments daily, yet none of them will acknowledge that Ive spoken to anyone other than themselves

Could it be that they have changed signal strength or frequency meaning that the signal isnt as far reaching as before?

Hi,

O2 are saying they are carrying out work on their masts for the 4g rollout which should improve 3g and 2g, but it is causing a few issues as they go along.

heres a link about the network future.

Hi,

I've been having a similar problem. I noticed it earlier this year when I was living in leeds, I found that I couldn't get calls or texts through to my phone and that when texts did come through they were hours late. 11pm seemed to be the time they would all come through for some reason. I thought this was a problem specific to my room in Leeds but I have now found that the problem has continued now I have moved back to Nottingham. I have continually had good signal on my phne throughout this problem but still texts and calls can't get through to my phone.

I have been with o2 for about 4 years but it just in this last year that this problem has arisen.

As I am currently in the midst of job applications having just graduated so it is vitally important that employers can get through to my phone to contact me about possible interviews.

Ask around and find out who has a good signal and on which network and switch if you find one better.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
