I'm not sure what to do. I can't turn my phone on and I need to turn it on in a way that won't reset my phone because I have important things on there.

You can try the up volume button and the power key to see if that helps. 

 

Some phones are the down button and power  button..  Also plug it in and leave it plugged in for a while.
