Not receiving text messages on Dual Sim Phone

Hi there,

 

At least a couple of people have complained that they are unable to send me text messages. When they send a message, it just says: "Carrier unable to receive", or something like that.

 

I am using a Moto G8 Power with 2 sim cards (the other sim is BT, also pay monthly).

 

I have also noticed that on the Network and Internet page, the O2 sim has a little cross on it in the settings, (on the triangle to the left of the Mobile Network in this link by way of example: https://www.google.com/search?q=network+and+internet+settings+cross+dual+sim+android&tbm=isch&ved=2a...

 

Any help would be much appreciated as this is my work number and if I am not receiving text messages that causes a problem!

Have you got both sims set as active?

If you have an x then that sim isnt active.

I work in IT as an Enterprise Messaging and Collaboration Tools Administrator (Office 365, Slack and much much more) and manage hardware both Mobile and Desktop / laptop, my desk is a bit like PC World

It says both sims are active, and I am able to make calls with that sim, data also seems to work fine??
