No WiFi calling and total O2 incompetence

I ported my number from Three to O2 last week when I took out a sim-only 30 day rolling contract. I am using my unlocked UK Huawei P20 Pro. The wifi calling works in that phone with my Three SIM and my wife's EE SIM, but refuses to work with O2.

I have now been on the phone to O2 6 times in the last couple of days and been given endless broken promises that it's active, that technical support will call me etc etc. The bottom line is I've hardly got any reception at home, my phone battery drains in record time as a result, and O2 seem to be utterly clueless.

Has anyone got any suggestions please? In MyO2, it says Wifi calling is active but there's no option anywhere in any of the menu's on the phone. However, pop my old Three SIM card in and it suddenly appears.

I'm not convinced the 30 day tariffs allow wifi calling as it's only allowed on monthly refresh tariffs, either that, or customer service hasn't enabled it properly on your account.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Hi, mine wasn't working either on my o2 sim. When I put my o2 sim card in it changed my WiFi calling setting in my phone. No idea why.. if you go to your phone settings and search WiFi calling, make sure you have 'WiFi preferred" selected. I reselected it and it came back on.

Hope that helps!

Thanks but when I search for WiFi calling or anything like it, nothing is found.

Decided to ditch this network already. If they can't get such a basic feature working then I don't have any faith in them tbh

It needs enabling on your account that's all and that can be done by either going into Myo2 and the the 4G and Wifi Calling option

Or we can tag on of the o2 Gurus to look into this for you.
- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

It has been enabled, 3 times in the last 4 days. It shows as enabled on myo2 account but it still isn't an option in the phone settings.

These are the 2 screens where WiFi calling could be provided as an option (works on Three and EE for example.)

As you can see, no WiFi calling option appears anywhere.
