Nexus 6 Switching Off Randomly

Anonymous
Not applicable

My Nexus 6 has been randomly turning itself off for the past 6 weeks, I sent it back to o2 for repair and after 12 days it was returned having had the software reinstalled (something I did before sending it off and telling them it made no difference to the problem).

The problem is still happeing after the "repair" but I'm reluctant to lose my phone again for another inneffectual repair to be done.

Has anyone got any aadvice on how to up the ante and get the problem resolved without having to go through the circus of the phone being sent back and forth?

Try contacting Motorola Customer Service/tech support directly and see if they can help.

Seems they typically flash the phone anyway.

I certainly wouldn't send it back to O2 repairs but instead contact the manufacturers Uk support sight as suggested above.

App conflict?
Typically battery saving apps give these kinds of issues but it could be any badly coded app.
Have you tried running the phone "naked" to see if it still does it?
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

If the phone keeps rebooting even from a factory reflash then it could point to a defective or misaligned battery.

I too have this problem with my nexus 6 randomly turning off. I've found out 1 reason is linked to incoming calls whilst WiFi is turned on. Which is true as most of the time my phone shuts down I have a missed call notification. I haven't yet got a real solution apart from turn WiFi off but it is not practical to do this for most people. I will chat with Motorola help tomorrow and see what they say

So i spoke to them, in a nutshell they wanted me to send the phone to them for repair as its a recognised rare problem, the guy was supposed to send me details via email on how and where to send the phone but the baboon only sent me a customer satisfaction survey which seemed to be the only thing he was bothered about.
