Your contract becomes a 30 day rolling contract once your present contract expires. You need to give O2 30 days notice that you wish to cancel by calling Customer Services on 202 from your mobile. DO NOT do this by Live Chat. At the same time you can ask for your PAC number, which will allow you to transfer your number to 3. You then need to give your PAC to 3. Once you have given it to them, that will start the cancellation process. There will most likely be an overlap between the end of your O2 contract and the beginning of your 3 contract. Do not cancel your direct debit to O2 until you receive a zero bill. If you cancel the direct debit before your contract is zeroed out, you could incur charges which could possibly put you in default and give you a negative credit rating, which is something you don't want to happen.
