Does anyone know way I can tether my iPad to my HTC desire but it won't see the Internet?
I know this will use my data allowance just curious as to why it won't work.
I managed to set up my HTC as a hotspot, connect my Raspberry PI and IPad to the phone and ping the iPad from the PI, which is what I really wanted to do. Out of interest I then tried to connect to the web from the iPad and it would not.
Cheers
Steve

All I did was turn on personnel hotspot on the phone.
Then turned the iPad to search and it picked up my iPhone and I accepted the connection.
Like you say tho be wary of your data allowance being drained quite quickly.
