I have a samsung GT-S5830 on pay as you go for some unknown reason i keep getting a phone calls from my own number on my phone. The phone doe`s not ring but leaves me a missed call message, when I check details it is my own number with the prefix of +25-------- in front of my number. I have not changed any settings to course this and have installed an app MR number to block the calls but the app also tells me it is my number!!! I have run a virus scan and that proves all clear. Can anyone help its driving me nuts.

Faitly certain it's just voicemail notifying you of a missed call.

It sounds like an app giving you the problem or possibly the way you have voicemail set up?

Do you have Skype or GVoice installed?

Try dialling ##002# to cancel any diverts.

Thanks for your response jonsie I don't have voice mail, skyp or GVoice installed, have dialled ##002# to reset. The only new apps I have are compass, solitaire and AVG antivirus and have had these before the trouble started .

The country code for the UK is +44. There is no country code with +25, but there are three digit codes that start with +25 in eastern Africa. Have you checked if you are being charged for these calls?

Not sure what cured my phone ringing but its been 3 days now and not had a phone call from the +25-----  number. I think one of the fixes you guys suggested must have done the trick, all I can say is thanks to all of you for helping get this sorted out.
