Memory card in Galaxy Ace.

please can anyone help?

My Galaxy Ace has a 2g memory card in it. I understand there is an internal memory built in, but if I take any photos, will they automatically be saved to the movable memory card; or do I have to activate it,(how).

I read about formatting the card, how do I know if it is already formatted?

My problem is most likely that the manuals use technical terms which I don't really understand. Maybe I need to join an idiot's club to be cognisant.

Yes, any photo's will be saved to the card. The phone is set to do this when the memory card is inserted to save on internal memory. You should not need to format the card unless you are experiencing issues or want to delete everything saved on it.
