Locations on widget and browser

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hi guys, I've recently noticed that my location for my weather widget and from browser stops updating after about 2 days. And the only to fix it is via a reset...
Now the problem is that everything else reports my location with little problem like maps and Facebook so I'm not sure what the issue could be...

Anyone had this issue?

Assuming you have set the widget to use your current location and have it on auto update it is just down to the weather server that the app is connecting to, but tbh, I've never had a problem with either of those tracking my location OK......

Sorry, looks like they renamed it.

This is the one I use for dual time with Thailand. It's very reliable but even so ttwice I have had server problems over a 12 month period. I can live with that but even the best apps are dependent on their server. Best of the bunch though @MI5

See if it locates you ok off mobile data (make sure you untick "update on wifi only" if using the android weather app).

Strange one but most likely scenario is another app interfering.... Have you got any battery saving apps or other network control apps installed ?

Power saving mode turned on at all ??

No battery saving apps or network controlling ones used, everything is stock...

I do use the power saving mode but only when battery gets to 15% or lower

Yep set for every hour and I know it's syncing because the weather icon changes along with the temperature when wifi or data is switched on...

So it's just the actual city that doesn't change when you go somewhere else?
