Lied to in store?

Anonymous

Hi there, employees at my company receive a 30% discount. That's the only reason I came to 02. The guy in store said he had applied it 'manually' because there was a problem with findining the company's name. I called on Friday and was told its not been done. I'm really annoyed. Why lie about it? What's the complaints process?

Advisors cant just add the discount...they are not allowed. Several checks have to be made first. If not anybody could have it. (Managers can do it depending on the situation)

If you want PM me the name of the company you work for and I will look it up and tell you what name they are using and you can do it yourself online using the links provided before for the O2 Open discount.

I can do it step by step if you want.

Think I sang the merits of the webchat too early!

1st webchat said hes applied the discount, raised a complaint and will email me to confirm both.

No email, so second webchat, disconnected.

3rd webchat. Advised there is no discount, pending or otherwise and I have to do it myself, can't email me. Disconnected

4th... He can see a request has been 'forwarded'. to where he couldn't say. He also said he will save transcripts of the webchats in my account as confirmation as he couldn't send an email. Does anyone know where they would be?

I'm not confident at all that anythings in place and all I'd like is something written that shows it will be applied on my next bill!

The customer should still get a text to confirm if it has been applied?
You can apply for your own code here https://o2open.co.uk/O2Open/servlets/SignUp
then when you have the code text "OPEN" followed by your open code, mobile number, name and postcode to 2020

Not really @MI5 because it's done Manually. It's an online form that gets sent to back office. They do all the check sand go into his account and add the discount. It's like an additional service.

Anyway one of the requests should work LOL

He has the one in store and the one we have just done,so fingers crossed.

Edited by me because I can't spell (twice!)

You would have thought a text would be sent out of courtesy though, or maybe I'm expecting too much from a communications company wink

The whole customer service side of it has been a bit underwhelming to be honest...
