Huawei P9 Plus

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hi I am a new monthly contract customer of 02, purchased a brand new P9 plus one week ago and the headset logo in the status bar and on the notification panel is showing as active even though there is no headset connected and hasn't been in days. I have tried plugging one in and temoving, soft reset and switching on and off. This is absolutely ridiculous that a brand new premium phone has had either a hardware or software failure like this after one week. Does anyone know what I can do in respect of 02 replacing this, I am absolutely fuming about this situation as anyone else would be, my phone is now rendered useless as it will not play any audio as it somehow thinks a headset is plugged in, PLEASE HELP.

Hi @Anonymous If there is a fault with the phone then you have up to 28 days to return it You appear to have tried everything you can so you need to follow the advice in this guide

http://www.o2.co.uk/help/phones-sims-and-devices/our-returns-and-repairs-policy

Give Customer services a call http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

Edited to add...you may want to give Huawei mobile support a call first ...in case they could give you further info on what else you could try http://www.huawei.com/uk/about-huawei/contact-us/

Just take it or send it back to where you got it.
No problem to get it swapped and no need to get stressed over it.

Best just to change it, you shouldn't have to be doing a factory reset on a brand new phone.
