How to check signal type on galaxy s5

Anonymous
Not applicable

On Galaxy S5.

Received new sim from 02, expect to see a little 4G in the strength bar to show that I am using it.

All I see are the strength bars. there is no 3G or 4G

I know the phone can show them as I have just moved from BT.

How do I know what type of signal I am using????

Text the word "Active" to 2020 and save the settings that get sent back.
It sounds like your APN is wrong and this should fix it for you.

Go into SETTINGS then ABOUT DEVICE then STATUS. It will tell you the mobile network type.

If your not picking up 4G, make sure it is turned on by going into SETTINGS then MORE NETWORKS then MOBILE NETWORKS and changing NETWORK MODE to LTE/WCDMA/GSM
