To a point - Nothing is actually optimised for the bigger screen (it just looks zoomed!!) so I think they've got a few years to go before they can start and compete fully.....

It's not often I share personal views but y'all know how I feel about my Note 3, and how much I'm looking forward to the 4... As much as I love Android, segmentation is it's only real issue. While there's so few iOS devices out there (about 15-20 in total?), there's literally thousands of Android ones. iOS developers have a far easier time optimising their game/app for ~20 devices as opposed to Android developers... Where do they even start?! Thankfully Android devices these days are mainly 720P or 1080P screens so things *should* get easier for them than iOS, which now has several different resolutions (some of which are totally non-standard) to deal with... So the tables could turn there!
The Note 4 is throwing a spanner in the works with a QHD mobile screen - first of its kind with a 2,560 x 1,440 resolution... It may be difficult for developers to include necessary higher resolution resources for this one device without causing any issues for the hundred other popular/flagship devices out there.
Still... Note 4 over any of the competition, any day of the week!
(all the above is my own thoughts and opinions)

Thanks to the immense screen resolution of the Nexus 10 and some other tabs, a lot of apps are all ready for QHD and more are updated every day.
The beauty of android is shared resources between devices as all follow googles provided resolution compatibility, when jelly bean code was updated to include the Nexus 10, a lot of talk surrounded the new resolution configs.
Bottom line is, Android's ecosystem was ready for QHD a year and a half before IOS's was ready for 1080p.
Maybe not in physical form, but the code was there for devs to work with.

Yeap. I've got a feeling that they'll skip the pre-order this time 🙂
One thing I hope they don't change is the contract that suits me.
5GB data - 4G speed - Unlimited texts - Unlimited minutes - £49.99 upfront - £38 a month
but on CPW
5GB data - 4G speed - Unlimited texts - Unlimited minutes - £149.99 upfront - £38 a month
An extra £100! I've always found their competitors have better prices.
