I'd be logging a complaint with Resolver by now.

Hi @Anonymous Have you checked your network status https://status.o2.co.uk/?

You could alo try removing your sim, cleaning it gently and reinserting ..then reboot the phone...

Edited to add.....I wouldnt be sending it off for repair either. I would give Samsung a call before ringing anyone else http://www.samsung.com/uk/info/contactus/

Classic symptoms of a blocked phone unfortunately.
I would contact customer service first to see if an error has been made and your phone accidentally blocked.

the phone is only 2 months old, sim was swapped yesterday morning.. samsung had it in for repair and changed the mainboard which didnt work so they said it was beyond repair.. went back to o2 who advised nothing they can do and for me to call their offices. Was on the phone yesterday and they will collect the phone tomorrow and see whats wrong with it and if its damaged they MAY replace it and charge me £60 under my insurance!!! absolutely disgusted as i pay £75 a nmonth for this phone anbd its pretty much brand new. i have sent an official complaint but wont hold my breath as o2 dont want to help me at all!!!

I wouldn't be forced into an insurance claim either.

Neither of them have a choice under consumer laws unless they are stating that you damaged it or invalidated the warranty in some way?

It's quite a simple case then.
O2 or Samsung have to honour the warranty.
