Data usage spike for no reason

over the last 3 days my data usage has gone up astronomically when I have not done anything differently to the last 6 months. When I check in settings, data usage it seems to all be showing as email background data. This is odd as I have the same email accounts on my iPad and see no spike in usage there. Anyone else seen this? Thanks

Do you have any apps updating over mobile data?

 

also turn auto play on FB off as that can use up a lot

Again no change on anything. That is why I am getting concerned as this happened over night. I have now deleted and set up email accounts again to see if that helps

Try deleting any non essential apps & turn off location settings
