Data drained in 9 minutes??

Anonymous
Not applicable
I received a text stating that I had used 80% of my data allowance which is fine but then 9 minutes later I received ANOTHER text advising that I had used all my data for the month without even using my phone in that period with the exceptiin of reading the warning text (there was also nothing downloading in the background).

Anyone have an explanation for this? I would add more data but I dont want all my data to be ran dry within minutes...

Part of the problem is that it's not unusual for both of those texts to arrive together and it's quite feasible that you could have actually used all your data when the 80% warning arrived.
Having said that, there are many reports of people using data quickly and unexpectedly and really only CS can advise on when it was used http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

The problem is that data can take 24 hours to update so as said, by the time the first texts arrived you were still using data not updated yet.

O2 state in myo2 that data updates every 30 minutes. If this is the case why should there be such a delay that the OP refers to

The reality is nothing to do with what O2 say though...We have found that out with numerous people posting on here

Not exactly on the dot every 30 minutes to be precise but they give it a rough estimate
