Trying to find out if I can cancel a sent text message, with my huawei p8 if I sent a text by mistake I would hit the text 3 times and it would cancel it, but can't find it on this samsung J3.

Hi @Laffer

As far as I know once a text is sent, there is no way of cancelling it. Sorry

On my previous Samsung phones there was an option in the message settings to delay sending them, which gave you up to 30 seconds to cancel a text before it was sent.
Messages >Settings >Delay then choose the length of time.
Not sure if this is still a feature though.

You can cancel if it's inside the delay period.

Indeed, I understand that. Though no way of cancelling once sent.

I can't recall having that option on any of my recent phones....

If it's sent, it's sent, but I think @Laffer is asking for options to be able to cancel like their previous phone had, not that they actually want to stop one from sending now?

We must be looking at it from a different perspective. I read 'can I cancel a sent text message'.

Anyway, that's enough from me, not going round in circles with it.

Sorry I ment cancelling, that predictive texting got me again. On my huawei p8 when I pressed send I had think it was 3 sec and I could tap the text 2 or 3 times and it would cancel sending the text, and yes that's the only mob I've had that did that. Miss my delivery reports as well, I know we can put is it *#0# in front of text but who wants to do that, if we remember to do so.
