BT hot spots

My phone keeps telling me when im in a bt hot spot but im with o2 why does it do this if we can not use bt can i turn this notification off ??

It's telling you that you are near a public wifi location.

Or thinking about it if an iPhone turn off ask to join networks in wifi settings
