I have a Samsung Galaxy S& Edge and an app called Golfshot that I use during my golf competitions. I'm 

contemplating purchasing a Samsung S3 Smartwatch ( which has GPS ) to save carrying my phone and would like to just  use the smartwatch to find out yardages etc.can I import the golfshot app from my phone to the smartwatch ?

In theory yes, however it would depend of if the developer of the app has enabled that option.

I'd ask them.

If you look at some of the reviews (3rd one} and one guy uses it on his SmartWatch but reckons it kills the battery.
