Android Virus?

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi guys n gals

Tonight I was online via wifi using my S4 and I guessed a website address that wasn't quite right.

It went to a redirect and went on to to bring up a pop up which said it was from allmobiletracking.info. It said that I had a virus having and to "click here" to remove it.

Needless to say I didn't but has anyone encountered this before?

The site I went to first was on here but have edited it out for your safety as kindly recommended by Perksie and Bambino

In hindsight the site I wanted has also been edited out

2 rules for android apps...
1 - Never buy the paid for app until you've tried the free one...
2 - Always buy the paid for version if you use the app regularly as it supports the devs and gets us more great apps slight_smile

@piperdog123 Please remove the link to the site that's redirecting you to the scam site. Some idiot is bound to click on it, and I'm sure you don't want to take that responsibility.
