can anyone help me out?

Cheers!

@Techwizzard

I use Google calendar on my OnePlus and that does tell me when to leave for appointments so this maybe something missing in Samsung calendar or an option that isn't switched on?

At least Google Calendar syncs with Samsung.

In a reverse I use Samsung Calendar as Google will not sync moon phases to the phone app, despite this being important to many people.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
