I have not been out of the UK but have received a bill for £260 for use of roaming data. Apparently I have been connected to manx telecoms, I have a Sony Experta S, and my roaming data was switched off.
When I phoned O2 they told me there was nothing to be done and I have to pay this charge.
How can they charge me, when I have not had roaming data switched on? O2 are supposed to text you when your roaming data changes, and I did not receive a text so was unaware that anything had changed.
Has anyone else had this problem and how was it resolved? Can anyone help me get my money refunded and stop this happening again.
Thank you
Di

Well that is very strange as o2 travel includes isle of man so it should be no more than £1.99 a day
Or if no o2 travel only £40 max per billing cycle.
You need to talk to o2 on 202 pay monthly or 4445 payg and get this resolved.
Do not use live chat to resolve this.
Do you live near the coast that is near the iom?

You will need to go into network settings and change from Auto to Manual and then select O2-UK.
From the Front Screen press the Applications button. 2. Select Settings. 3. Select Wireless & networks. 4. Select Mobile networks. 5. Select Network operators
