Hey all,
We see some of you have already spotted this but we wanted to confirm that the TU Go app & service will be ending on 30th November. We’ll be notifying all customers that have the TU Go app about this from today, Tuesday 17th October, through to Friday 20th October.
While TU Go is ending, we’re continuing to offer alternative calling options for our customers. More information can be found here. As VoWifi (Voice over Wifi, part of our Wifi and 4G calling capabilities) continues to develop, we’re working with our vendors to expand the selection of handsets that we offer with Wifi and 4G calling capabilities. A full list of currently supported devices can be found here, where we will also add future devices when they’re available.
If the device you’re currently using doesn’t support Wifi and 4G calling, you can check the My O2 app or get in touch with our customer service team (202 from an O2 Pay Monthly mobile, 8002 from O2 Business mobile) to see what upgrade options are available to you.
We recommend that all TU Go users make copies of any stored messages or images that they have saved on the TU Go app, as the app won’t be accessible from 1 December.
A thank you
We know that some of our O2 Community members helped test the TU Go app during beta trials and provided varied and fantastic feedback which helped our team shape the app, add new features and fix any bugs. We hope you’ve enjoyed using TU Go, and again want to thank anyone from the O2 Community that helped us.
More information on the closure of TU Go can be found here: https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/tu-go

I'm tottaly gutted that Tu Go is going. It was awesome, worked perfectly through my laptop which meant i didn't need to pick up my phone if i wanted to text. I could just call from my headset instead of lifting handset up. Tye and talk at the same time. Gutted!.
Anyone know what app I can use with my laptop running Windows 10 that connects to my phone?

I would like to add to my huge frustration at this decision. when this news first came out I rang O2 services and was assured that there would be a repalcement desktop app. I now find out that this is not the case. I have limited signal at home; run my business from home and now, effectively, have no useful phone usage at home. My upgrade is not due for 18months - I AM LIVID. I bought an O2 contract beuase of TuGo - O2 - How are you gloing to solve this? Your decision is now greatly impacting on my buiness - I have to stand on top floor to recive and make calls - and my desktop is in the studio downstairs...... - simply not acceptable.. I have raised a formal complaint but also wantd to register my upset here.....

I know this question has probably been asked a million times, but i have now spoken to o2 custonmer services on at least half a dozen occassions regarding the problems i will encounter when the app gets switched off as i live in a rural area and each time i am told "we will have an announcement on the 1st Dec" but they will not divulge further.......are we going to have a replacement app???

Limited choices really @Anonymous. You have made a complaint already. You could calling again to try for a boost box (which O2 appear to be offering some people on a random basis).....
A few people have been able to leave their O2 contract without penalty and then move to EE or Three who do offer Wifi calling with texting...
This all depends on the advisor you speak to at the time and how much you complain I think
