Hey Guys,

Just to confirm that we’re contacting our customers who currently have 4G ready phones as we're giving them access to 4G for nothing!

Only those who currently have a 4G phone but are on 3G plans can take advantage of this offer.

The messages you may receive about this will vary depending on whether you’re currently in an area that supports 4G or not. We’ll grant all customers who own a 4G ready phone access to this offer so you’re good and ready when 4G comes to your town.

We want as many people enjoying 4G as we can, at the moment our 4G could cover 17 million people in the UK!

This is part of our 2014 4G master plan, if you have any questions or thoughts- Let us know!

If you are one of the 600,000 customers who will enjoy free 4G, please do share some speed tests with the community too!

Sounds like another PR disaster then o2?

Why should it matter whether you got your contract direct from o2 or via a reseller? Still an o2 customer (although I am sure some will correct me and say the contract is with the reseller).

My view is that these people are still using o2 and paying o2 directly so why differentiate?

Either give 4g or don't

OK after spending 30 mins on the phone, telling the CS rep that I wasn't happy with the responses and asking to escalate the issue... they've added the 4g bolt-on and a corresponding £5 loyalty discount.

Not sure that they've done in the right way but if I get the 4g and don't have a bill increase then I'll be satisfied.

No text for me but I do have a 4g phone on a 4g tariff from o2 and I get 5gb per month.

That said (and sorry to nip off topic momentarily ) but the signal is so truly awful here that I can't use it.

Where's their a will their's a way but it obviously should not have been such a bind to get what has been clearly promised.

Hopefully @Anonymous and @Anonymous can feed this back to the powers that be.
