I have an iPhone SE.  Ever since joining O2  each time I send an SMS message I get a failed to send message.  The messages are getting to the recipient but it is very unsettling with the error message coming up each time wondering if they are actually arriving.  I don’t want to have to check each time.  I have done or the usual reboot etc. Please could someone find a solution it appears I am not the only one.  Just to repeat messages are getting through but they say they are not.

Check this guide Guide: Text Message Tips (not sent or received)

Or reset your network settings |Settings> General> Reset > Reset network settings. If no improvement, give Apple a call for a diagnostic check https://support.apple.com/en-gb/contact

O2 network doesn't support delivery reports in the normal way so there could be an issue with the phones software trying to provide one.

You can precede every sms with  *0#   to get an actual O2 network response.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

They reported success using the *0# method here https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/How-to-Guides/Text-Message-Tips-not-sent-or-received/bc-p/1555369#M262...
