My wife recently upgraded to a Google Pixel 7a from a Pixel 4, and ever since she's had almost constant problems with phone calls, in that they keep dropping the connection. If she uses my phone (Galaxy S21) in exactly the same spot it's fine. We've tried Wi-Fi calling, calling from outside the house and in various parts of the UK, and it's always the same issue. I don't have this issue, and she didn't face this on her old phone. An online search found many people had exactly the same issue with the same phone running Android 14, and the only way to resolve it was to downgrade it to Android 13, which is not something we can do.
Has anyone else experienced this, and if so did you find a resolution short of changing your phone?
