Has anyone else in the last couple of days received a call from Carphone Warehouse? They are offering O2 customers an iPhone 13 pro max with unlimited data and calls for £30 a month.
They claim to have been given your number by O2 to offer you this deal. If you sign up all you have to do is when you have received the new phone. Send your old phone back to O2 and they will cancel that contract. You pay nothing further.
To me this sounded like a scam and too good to be true so I wanted to up put it on here to 1) see if anyone else has had this sort of call and 2) to alert O2 that their customers are potentially being miss sold new phones claiming their contracts will be cancelled with no further charge.

@DawnBeckett O2 ended their partnership with CPW several years ago. The call you received is most likely a scam. We always advise people to never agree to anything from a cold call, no matter who the caller says they are.
Block the number and report it free to 7726.
Don’t give the caller any information.
