Hi
I had a call from someone from 02 saying i been chosen as i pay my bills on time for an amazing deals etc... they sent me a code as i didnt understand what this man was shouting about i just hung up no details were given over the phone
i later rang 02 explaind what happend. I was told to change my online password but now im unable to do this as i feel that my account may have been taken over
i have noticed that official 02 text messages look like this 02UK
Fraudsters look like this 02 UK
notice the space
each time i request to change my passwords via the web site or app the one time passcode gets sent to 02 UK

You need to call O2 and ask for the fraud team. and explain about your password

Advice from an O2 Guru regarding a way to get through:
When you call, you will be asked for the reason you are calling,
Stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to an advisor.
Press Upgrade, Lost/Stolen or Fraud if you have to.
8am is the best time to call.
Forward the text to 7726-it's free
Other ways to report here, including Action Fraud website

If you can still login it means they haven't changed your password (they would need the otp sent to you to do that).
Whilst you are trying to change your password and receive the otp, it has to be coming from O2 as it's system generated.
You should complete the password change immediately, for your own safety, as currently the scammers have access to your account.
