o2 travel pay and go

I am extremely confused about the whole o2 travel. I am on pay and go and am off on holiday skopelos so could do with some help. I completely understand that it's 1.99 for a day for up to 15 M B. I just need to check when the data allowance has run out will the phone just stop letting me use the service or will I start to be charged. From what little information I have found it seems that it will just stop and I have the choice of paying for another 15MB. I also need to know about calling and texting uk mobiles while away and what happens if I turn my web off for a few days and not pay the 1.99 charge do I still get charged o2 travel rates for calls and texts? It's all a bit confusing as I read one thing and then get told another thing. Thanks

I agree this can be a confusing sector of 02's services.

What we normally advise is if you have to take your phone with you then try to use WiFi only, and turn off mobile data and 3g in your phones settings.

Or if your phone is unlocked to all networks purchase a local sim.

If your phone is locked to 02 then you can get it unlocked by filling out this form.

Its free for Contract Customers and £15 for PAYG.

If payg you would have to have been using for the phone for 12 months unless your using an iPhone.

on payg you do not get o2 travel call costs you pay the standard eu charges. as per this page http://www.o2.co.uk/international/o2-travel/pay-and-go

Data will stop unless you send the text for another 15mb. as explaind on the link above.

You only get charged the £1.99 on days you use data
