I think this is what your asking.
You can put your contract Sim in any locked to 02 or open phone you want to.
The nano sim from your iphone 5 will work just fine in the Apple supplied iPhone 5s as they are sim free unlocked models.
If you want 4G data services then you would need to speak to 02 on 202 or pop into an 02 store for a 4G sim card and upgrade your services to a 4G tariff, or leave it as it is if 3G is ok for you.
When your contract term comes to its end you can either use your available upgrade or let it go to a 30day rolling contract, and use your upgrade when you want.
Your iPhone 5 is yours to keep and do whatever you want with it.
ie : Use it as a spare or perhaps have it unlocked by 02 and sell it on !
