Is there a way to tell what has been downloaded against my monthly data allowance? I normally use about 5 - 10% of my allowance in a whole month, and yet this month 90% has gone in the first week. I am not aware I have done anything differently so can't understand how this has happened.

Check data usage in the settings on your phone.
It should tell you which apps are using the most
Have you had a software update?
Best to switch off mobile data when on home wifi.

Thank you. I can't find that in my settings, but I will continue to explore. The phone is currently offering an update, but I am reluctant to accept it until I get to a new months allowance, so just keep on clicking 'later'!

You can download it on wifi or if it's already downloaded and on your phone waiting to be installed then that is probably where your data has been used. Switch off mobile data if you are currently on wifi.
