WiFi calling Moto g31

I now have WiFi calling on my Moto g31. When will I get SMS over WiFi?

We've heard nothing about this as yet

Apparently sms over wifi does work on certain phones but it seems to be a very gradual roll-out

It works over WiFi for chat messages but not old fashioned sms

@Mike99 WhatsApp over WiFi to other WhatsApp users gives you that option.

I've no problem sending standard  SMS using Google Messages. Doesn't have to be a specific chat message.

As a check, just sent one that way to an old Dumb phone.
