When can i ask for PAC code

My contract with o2 ends on the 14 March 2013 and i will need a PAC code to keep my number to port over to giffgaff. When can i ask for my PAC code, is it the 14th February 2012. Thanks

I would think it's data related if he is off to giffgaff as the network coverage will obviously be the same.

You can ask for a PAC code at any point during your contract, it is valid for 30 days, use it before your contract end date and you will get a final bill charging any line rental until the end of the contract slight_smile

As soon as you ask for a PAC your contract is nullified you'll have to pay any excess remaining on the contract.

Just to clarify you cannot ask for one anytime sorry

Sorry Liquid, but you can ask for your PAC at any time. Your contract isn't ended until you actually use the PAC. If the PAC expires after 30 days without using it then nothing changes on the contract. You can of course request another PAC once the present one expires.

Thanks for all your replies everyone and johnsie is right, i can get 250 minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB internet for £10 month or unlimited internet for £12 month and im not tied to another lengthly contract unless o2 can match this on PAYG. Thanks again.
