I am an O2 customer & have been for a good few years.

I took over my late fiance's Virgin Media broadband account after he passed away, last year. Now I'm moving out & need to cancel Virgin Media broadband but I'm concerned they'd cancel my O2 contract or have I got myself mixed up as I know they merged?

I'm going to write to Virgin Media to cancel the broadband as I do not fancy waiting by my mobile phone via Relay UK (text service for the deaf), for back & forth calls. I'm just worried that virgin media will stop my O2 data etc, seeing I got my O2 SIM via O2 years ago.

I'm grateful for any help & thank you for your patience.

No the phone and the broadband are different so cancelling with Virgin will not effect O2

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Completely safe to cancel.

No tie in with the two contracts except your volt benefits which will still continue until you change anything with O2.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
