If you have a spend cap on your phone, the text wont send. You need to contact O2 to remove it.

Also its expensive to contact anyone in the US. Better if you use Whatsapp or messenger over Wifi. Your Aunt will need the apps as well. A guide here

@Dionne10 If you and your auntie in Seattle both download WhatsApp you can text, call, and video call each other for free. The same goes for Facebook Messenger, or if you both have Skype. All three are free to download and free to use.
