Hi really wanting to join o2 because of this feature currently with EE, but they give the perk of not having to go into a store to upgrade, this is the only thing stopping me joining o2, as I’m disabled going into town to swap is more of a problem, Will o2 be allowing people to send in via a courier anytime soon? If so I’ll be signing up with you right away

Switch up can only be done in store as the phone needs to be assessed for condition etc.
Guide: Introducing O2 Switch Up. Swap phones whenever you want!

Most things can be done online. If you want to join O2 you need your PAC from EE. you then give it to O2
We're just customers like you but it sounds as if you need someone to access your account which can't be done from here.
Give O2 a call on 202 or 0344 809 0202 (Contract) OR 4445 or 0344 809 222 (PAYG)
Or you can message O2 on Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG), hopefully they should be able to help.

When you upgrade on Switch Up you have to go in store for the phone to be examined first. If all is OK they will close that account, paying off the balance. The new phone will be on a new contract and require another credit check
I doubt O2 will make the swap element any other than shop

That's not quite true.
Once the store accepts the switch up, it clears the device plan element and allows an upgrade.
It doesn't close the account, nor require another credit check.

Given that this thread is from March 2023, I suspect that @Brownz996 made his decision a long time ago !
