Started a new contract but no contact from o2

So I made the switch from pay as you go, to pay monthly.

Entered all the details and got the the screen informing me that my order had to be reviewed taking up to 24hrs.

Its now been 2 and a half days with no contact from o2, however my 'new' number now appears in my o2 telling me i'm being billed today for my airtime plan.

For my device dilvery I chose to collect in store, which said was in stock.

Under recent orders it says complete......stating that the dispatch date was yesterday, but when I try the tracking number with DPD UK it doesn't exist.....

Going to call CS, was wondering if this is a common issue

Right,

I'm not that irritated that the delivery was late / delayed these things happen, however what is unforgiveable is charging me for a contract that i'm not using because my order for some reason cannot be tracked by either CS or the store.

Yeah, that's wrong and you should be refunded those costs once your phone arrives.

They will certainly refund you but perhaps @Anonymous can feed this back. I don't know of any other company that makes ordering so difficult.

Well after constantly harrassing customer services it finally got the order and was able to pick it up, it seems that there was an issue with the courier, however I am under the impression the store staff are incompetent.

In any case anyone reading this thinking about starting a contract online, here's some advice.....DON'T DO IT go in store!!

@Anonymous Sadly we usually end up saying the same as you....to go instore. The advantage of that is you can have a play with the demo models.....Annoying though...sometimes it isn't easy for people to find a store locally..

Too much stress and frustration ordering online these days and that's before even starting to worry about the courier...instore every time.
