Hi, I received a phone call from 02 telling me that I qualify for 30%discount on my sim only deal this because i was with virgin and moved to 02 but not by choice.  I said great and was told that 2 new sims would be delivered the following day. During this conversation they said they would make changes to my Direct Debit account. They knew my bank details so I obviously thought they were from 02. What actually arrived was 2 brand new phones delivered by DPD. Within 15 mins I had another phone call asking about the sims as they would need to be activated. I said 2 phones had arrived and was told this had been a mistake and to return by special delivery to the address they gave me. Which i did straight away. I know you may think what a jerk but we are in our 70's and panicked. Since then I have tried every which way I could to resolve this but 02 are pretty much useless. I have been served with default notices from 02, I have written to the CEO Lutz Schuler but have had no reply from him either. The question I'm asking is " has anyone else been similarly scammed and what if any was the outcome?

If you think you’ve been the victim of fraud – whether it’s because you’ve given details to someone over the phone, or clicked on a link in a suspicious text or email there are things you can do:
Contact your bank if you think you may have given out financial information. They can help protect your account and stop transactions.
Change your account and online account passwords. Not just your O2 account. All of them.
Forward fraudulent texts to O2 for free on 7726.
Contact Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040.
Call your Virgin Media or O2 customer services number if you think somebody’s taken out a contract using your details.
Virgin Media customers can phone 150 from their landline or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone.
O2 customers can call 202 from their O2 phone or 0344 809 0202 from any other phone.
You can block the number that called you, or any number you think may be suspicious.

Thanks, been cut off again after paying my monthly sim contract. Can't even phone 02 on 202?

The debt outstanding on my account for my phone and my wife's is over £3500 and all this took place just over a month ago. We are devastated.
