Have just upgraded to iPhone 16 from iPhone 13.
set up new phone no problem with iCloud transfer.
I then put the SIM from old phone into new phone and there is no network service at all…
any suggestions as to what is going on?

@MDC159 As far as I can see both phones use the same size (nano) sim. Make sure you've inserted the sim correctly into the new phone. Is your sim 4 or 5G? If you're still having issues, contact Apple support in the morning, or call into an O2 store if you have one nearby and they'll swap your sim for a new one. Be sure to bring photo ID with you if you go in store:

O2 send out some phones with a shipping bar on them (useless to anyone if stolen in transit).
