Hi there, I'm in capetown at the moment, Im a UK customer. I added the "o2 travel service" to my account last week (I have a confirmation text). When with Vodafone they'd always text me each day I used roaming data out of their free zone. But I've received no texts from o2 and I cannot see anything in my o2 account that suggests I will pay the £6 daily rate. I also can't see any extra charges. And the chat option in the app is returning an lp001 error.
How do I know if I'll be hit with a huge data bill?

SA isn't included as a Travel Inclusive country, so you will be paying the £6 a day for the days you use your phone.

O2 Travel shows as a bolt on in your MyO2 if active.
We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this
Thanks

I texted that number in September and had this reply.
But all I see in the my o2 app is a 5g bolt on, and this travel bolt on which I think may be different

That bolt on means you have O2 Travel Inclusive which gives you free usage in more countries worldwide
So you are either a volt customer or your tariff includes it
So no need to worry

£6 a day is fine with me, I just want to confirm that's all it'll be. I've tweeted o2 but no reply thus far.

£6 a day on my bill. Thanks for your help guys. If o2 are watching, a text to affirm this each day would be useful to avoid doubt.

Do I have to text that number everyday while I’m abroad?
