i ported my old vodaphone number to a new o2 sim when will my old number port to the new sim?

You should have received a text to your old number confirming the changeover date.

If not, call customer services to check Guide: How to find help & contact O2

“O2: Thanks for choosing O2. We'll set you up on our network on 19/09/2019. Please switch off your phone on the port date until 6pm.“

Yes, that's the one.

It doesn't matter if phone is on but the old sim will turn off first and then after, up to 24 hours later, the O2 sim will turn off. At this point you should reboot the phone every half hour until you get a signal.
