I chose fingerprint recognition when I set up the phone yesterday. It did not ask me to set a PIN. Today after an update and a restart it is asking for my PIN. I don’t know it as I didn’t set one so how do I progress. Have tried 000000 and 111111. No joy. Now what?

You'll need to talk to the phone manufacturer but, a pin has to be set by default so you must have set something.

A factory reset is probably the only way out of it now.
