I have recently pre-ordered the new S21 with an O2 contract via Samsung's "trusted supplier". On the supplier's application form they state that I wouldn't be able to transfer my current O2 number (of 20 years) to the new contract. On enquiring with them about it they stated I would have to move my number to new network so I could then move it back to O2. Is this correct?

@Del70

No that's incorrect.

You just call O2 and they will migrate your number to the new contract.

Guide: Migration & porting into O2

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

That's what I've done plenty of times in the past when renewing contracts. Just thought it was an odd thing to claim.

Some networks don't allow it @Del70

but O2 does.
