O2 refresh iPhone 6

Anonymous
Not applicable
Got a bit of a query regarding the O2 refresh on an iPhone 6. I submitted my early upgrade for a new iPhone 6 plus yesterday and obviously O2 charge a pro rata rate for the remainder of the contract (my contract was due for renewal on 25th September) but obviously the release date for the iPhone 6 isn't till the 19th September and it will most likely take 2-3 weeks for the phone to reach me. So technically the pro rata figure O2 have provided me is surely incorrect, basically I'm paying my tariff fee twice.
If so does O2 then credit my account the difference?
Many thanks in advance.

Hi

Yes if a charge is levied then it will rectified by way of a credit to your bill.

Keep an eye on this and if required speak to O2 Customer Services on 202 and they will sort this for you.

Some info.

O2 FIRST BILL.

For your first O2 bill you are charged for the first couple of days connection, until the billing date, and then one month in advance.

Payment date is always 2 weeks after the billing date.

Your allowances will also be split during the initial few days, so allowances will be devided by 30 days times the number of days until your O2 bill is produced.

On a new account sometimes it takes around 24 hours for things to settle with the My02. If it continues then Customer Service on 202 should be able to help.

Any changes to your tariff won't start until the phone is delivered so anything mentioned now will just be an estimation....

All will become apparent once you take delivery of the phone. No one can give you accurate information at the moment.

It should all correct as the upgrade shouldn't be processed until the day the phone is dispatched at which point your tariff will change and this change will be reflected in myO2.

Obviously keep an eye on things though and if you believe you have been charged wrong then call 202 once you know
